Jon Josef, known to his friends as ”J.J.,“ has made shoes his life. Born in Elda, Spain in 1970, J.J. and his family lived and worked in the country’s busiest footwear region, Alicante. His family owned stores and manufacturing facilities and he spent years learning the manufacturing and retailing business. Footwear became second nature when he spent his summer vacations packing shoes in the factories and watching his family sell the products they had made.

J.J. came to the United States in 1991 to help market shoes for his family’s company, Left and Right. He planned to only stay for a couple of summers but he fell in love with the country, culture and the American woman, one in particular, Louisa. They married and now live in Birmingham, Michigan with their daughter Paloma, and their dog  Sarah. J.J likes to spend his free time playing golf, cooking, or traveling in the quaint districts of London and Paris.  

For J.J., it was important to have his shoes be top quality while offering a striking design for the fashion forward woman.

His shoes reflect everyday styles that can move easily between the office and the social scene. The colors and silhouettes are feminine and  fashion-forward. He sees his customers as intelligent and stylish enough to know what they want to wear, while being practical enough to not want to spend excessively to get the look they desire. Since his name is on the shoe, J.J. can control the quality standards to help his customers achieve style and fashion with confidence.
